Genius Hour 2.7

This week was not as productive as I was hoping it would be but the drawings turned out ever so slightly better than last week, small wins! I continued my president project as well as a few tutorials in my caricature book. My brain is slowly picking up on not drawing in proportion. This week will be focused on making sure my skills are where I want them to be as this project is winding down.

Genius 2.6

Week 2.6 was a difficult week to say the least. I became very frustrated that my skills were not as advanced as I thought they were supposed to be. The drawings were looking more like mediocre portraits than caricatures. It is difficult to train my brain to draw in proportional.
I will not let this little bump in the road get me down. I will continue to follow YouTube videos and using my caricature book like I did last week.
This upcoming week will hopefully be better. Keep me in your thoughts and prayers. Thank you.

My videos are not uploading. I think that they might be to long so I will have to try something else to upload them. For now I’ll just give ya a little taste! This week I worked on heads and hair. The heads turned out pretty good, the hair on the other hand did not. There wasn’t much for tutorials on how to draw caricature like hair so I pretty much was on my own. I will continue then this next week and hopefully do better on the hair.

Genius hour 2.2 part 2

Genius hour 2.2 part 1

 It has come to my attention that my 2.2 vlog failed to upload. I will try to repost it, but for the moment I will just give you a little taste of my second week. This week I worked on noses and facial hair. I was kind of nervous as I have never been very artistic when it came to noses. All together I think they turned out pretty good, although some were duds, most of them you can tell that they are noses! As for the facial hair that’s wasn’t as difficult, but it definitely wasn’t easy. The mustaches and beards weren’t too bad they came to me pretty easy. The eyebrows were a different story! The eyebrows were difficult as I couldn’t always make one look like the other. All together though they were difficult it was a fun challenge.
